The Partner Organisations Outreach Team liaises with non-profits and student-led organisations that share WSA’s dedication to promoting gender equality. By collaborating with these organisations on various initiatives, we aim to offer WSA members a wider array of opportunities.
WOMEN IN BANKING AND FINANCE
WIBF support the development of a financial services industry which offers women equal opportunities as employees, customers and entrepreneurs to reach their full potential, while enabling better businesses and places to work to be built and for the industry to become more sustainable. To achieve this, they connect their members to a wide network of influencers, business leaders and women at all stages of their careers, they challenge the industry to adopt new ideas and address structural barriers, and they inspire their wider community to push for change.
GAIN UK - GIRLS ARE INVESTORS
GAIN UK is a non-profit organisation aimed at inspiring women and non-binary students to break into the Investment Management industry through inspirational events, exclusive opportunities, programmes and mentoring. They have reached over 15000 students through their events and programmes (including their flagship Summer Internship and Investment Insight Programme), have over 1200 investment industry volunteers in the GAIN network and delivered over 250 GAIN events since their launch in August 2019.
HEADSTART UK
Headstart is a student-run organisation that connect students with work experiences in startups across a range of projects. Their projects include an 8 week mini internship experience where students can work in a team of 3-4 with a startup on projects such as market strategy, competitive analysis and funding research. They have projects across different areas such as AI, business, technology and more.
WOMEN WHO BUILD
Introducing a fast-growing, high-profile entrepreneurship initiative (>2k organic sign-ups in <6 months) called "Women Who Build" (WWB)🪄, dedicated to bringing the startup world to female students to ultimately increase the share of female founders, currently standing at 10%. 🤯 Time for a change!
PIMFA- PERSONAL INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL ADVISE ASSOCIATION
PIMFA is the voice of the personal wealth sector – championing financial health for every individual. They represent over 7,500 providers of wealth management services and financial advice from across the UK, who look after £1.65 trillion in private savings and investments and employ over 63,000 people. Whether they're advocating for and creating positive regulatory and policy change, connecting people from across the industry, providing hands-on guidance and support, or challenging misconceptions of the personal wealth sector – they always have the interests of their members and their clients at heart and work to help ensure the UK remains a financial global centre of excellence.
